• First chairperson of the Abington Community Taskforce (ACT), helping to draw together different agencies, groups, and individuals to effectively serve young people and families
• Masters Degree in Social Work (Columbia University); Bachelors Degree with Honors in Social Work, Sociology, and Psychology (Rutgers University & Cornell University School of Human Ecology)
• Post-masters degree certificate in family therapy (Family Institute of Philadelphia)
  Post-masters degree certificate in Nonprofit Management Center Program (LaSalle University Business School)
• Post-masters degree training approved American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
