Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Aldersgate provides Student Assistance Programs in 31 school buildings in the following school districts in Montgomery County:
Abington, Cheltenham, Jenkintown, Lower Moreland, Springfield Township, Upper Moreland, and Wissahickon.
Upon referral by the school counselor, elementary, middle and high school students can receive individual and/or group support during the school day from Aldersgate's SAP Liaison located in the school.
Parents are also eligible for counseling at the Aldersgate office or via Zoom.
Students are typically referred for concerns such as:
Anxiety
Family Stressors
Drug and/or Alcohol Issues
Anger Management Issues
Low Self-Esteem
Socialization/Peer Relations Issues
Poor Academic Performance
and/or Poor Attendance
Negative Behaviors
